The Philadelphia Hill Church, other wise know as the St. John the Evangelist church was acquired by the Hunter Foundation in 2021.
The church was built in 1885 by William Halsey Wood. It has been on the National Historic Registry since 2004, and with the help of the town historian, Dede-Terns-Thorpe, the church was awarded it’s own historical marker. The Hunter Foundation has a site plan that includes parking, ADA ramp, outdoor lighting, bathrooms, and enhancing building maintenance.
We welcome you to use the Philadelphia Hill church for any upcoming ceremonies, baptisms, or general gatherings. Please feel free to reach out to us if you are interested!
