The Pantry on Main is located at 6022 Main St. The building was originally Howard’s Souvenir Shop, owned and operated by Ezra B. Howard in the early 1900’s. Ezra’s son, Burgess, also had a woodturning shop in the building. They used the water from the creek to power their businesses.
There was a small A&P and then a Food Fair on the property. In the 1960s the building burned down, and when it was rebuilt the A&P was back in business. Throughout the late 1900’s and early 2000’s there was a pizza place, candy shop, print shop and chiropractor practices in the building.
The Hunter Foundation purchased the property in 2017 and Amy and Terrance Maul purchased it in 2022. They opened the Pantry on Main, serving breakfast, lunch, prepared meals to go, and full catering services. They are open Thursday – Monday! In the back of the building there are two modern apartments currently listed on Airbnb as Creekside Suites.
A new business is set to open in this building in June of 2024, Jolie Mountain Top! A full med spa offering curated skincare, injectables, hydration IV services and more.
